This is probably my favorite relationship on the show right now. 1000x more compelling than the stupid love triangle.

Because Tenzin’s father wasn’t just his father, he was Avatar Aang, the man who reunited the nations and healed the world. Not only was he this amazing leader & father, but Aang was also this huge influence on shaping Tenzin’s identity.
I mean, for years and years and years they were the only two airbenders in the entire world.
And now Aang’s gone & Tenzin’s the one who has to carry on Aang’s legacy. Now he’s the one who has to pass on the Air Nomad’s way of life to a new generation, and he has to restore Republic City to the vision his father had, and he has to teach Korra how to be the Avatar. How to be a leader like Aang was.
He must be under so much pressure to live up to all of this. But not pressure like.. THE FATE OF THE WORLD & THE AIR NOMAD CULTURE RESTS ON TENZIN’S SHOULDERS.
He just doesn’t want to disappoint his dad.
